Range Experts Join the Federation of Small Businesses

fsb logoHere at Range Experts we are proud to announce that we have joined the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).

About the FSB

This is the UK’s largest campaigning pressure group that was specifically designed to protect the interests of small business owners and the self employed. The group was formed in 1974 and has 200,000 members across 33 regions and 194 branches in the UK.

Reasons for Joining

We joined the FSB so that we could have the support of being part of a much larger organisation. The FSB is a group that was established to represent the interests of self employed and small business owners. We now have access to help with such things as tax advice from revenue trained specialists. We especially liked the FSB Legal & Tax Protection Scheme which provides help with any legal matters & advice from qualified lawyers 24/7 365 days a year as well as cover in the event of a tax enquiry from HMRC.

What initially caught our attention about the FSB was their slogan; ‘Keep trade local, support your community’ which is something that is incredibly important to us. We are also proud of the group’s commitment to member’s interests as they continuously lobby at every level of Government in every area in the UK and have high profile campaigns to give members a voice in the political arena.

What it Means for Us

Our membership allows us to focus on our business and also support the local community, so that we can continue to provide both new and old customers with efficient and cost-effective range cooker repairs in Exeter and the surrounding areas. The FSB provides small, local businesses with a big voice and the ability to make positive changes in the local business community throughout the UK.

We joined up on the 22nd May at the Devon County Show, where we were out and about meeting new customers. This show is very special to the local area and is full of exciting activities including; sheep shearing, crafts, dog shows, steam engines, vintage cars and metal work, not forgetting a range of food stands and ale brewed in the local Devonshire area. We had a fantastic time at the event, and hope to return next year!
